Midwest Health Center for Women (MHCW)
is a non-profit clinic supported by :

- private support from individuals and foundations
- public grants
- volunteer service

Our mission is also supported through the service
of volunteers and interns. MHCW has a flexible volunteer
program that matches the skills and desires of pro-choice
volunteers with the needs of our organization. Many
of our volunteers work as clinic escorts. The role of
the escort is to welcome abortion patients to our clinic
and to prevent the ever-present anti-abortion protesters
from overstepping their boundaries. Our escorts ensure
that women are able to enter our clinic with dignity
