MHCW receptionists are available between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. weekdays, and most Saturday mornings, to answer questions and schedule appointments. Please call:

You can schedule an appointment for a surgical abortion
at our clinic if you are less than 15 weeks from the
first day of your last menstrual period. An option for
you to consider if you are less than 8 weeks is medical
abortion which uses two medications to end the pregnancy.
Both procedures require one 3-5 hour visit to our clinic
and a follow up appointment. More information about
surgical and medical abortion is available in the Health
Services section of our website, as well as from clinic
staff.
All patients must receive State mandated information at least 24 hours before their abortion appointment. You will be scheduled to speak with a doctor at least one day before your appointment, and cannot be seen until you have completed this conversation. Minnesota Laws Affecting Abortion
If you are under 18 years old, Minnesota State Law requires that you notify your parents or receive permission from a judge to have an abortion. Detailed instructions to help you comply with the law are available on this website.
Please allow 20 minutes to schedule your appointment. Be prepared with a pencil and notepad to take down reminders, and provide insurance information if you are covered.
When you call the clinic, you will receive the following information to help
you prepare for your appointment.
