Founded in 1975, Midwest Health Center for Women is
a non-profit clinic dedicated to the belief that reproductive
choices for women are vital for their health and well-being.
MHCW has a team of caring medical professionals to help
you with your health care needs. Every effort will be
made to help you obtain the services that you need at
a price you can afford.
MIDWEST HEALTH CENTER FOR WOMEN offers

 Annual
exams
This includes your pap smear, basic lab tests and breast
exam. STI testing on request.
 Free
pregnancy testing
Free walk-in pregnancy testing is available 9am –
2 pm M-F and 9 am-12 pm on Saturdays.
 Birth
Control (including
Emergency Contraception)
Oral
Contraceptive Pills
- Hormonal method taken daily, variety of pills to choose
from
Depo Provera (the shot)
- Hormonal method, injection once every 3 months
Ortho Evra (the patch)
- Hormonal method, worn on body, changed weekly
NuvaRing
- Hormonal method, inserted into vagina, changed monthly
Intrauterine device (IUD)
- Hormonal and non-hormonal types, placed in uterus
by physician
Diaphragm
- Barrier method – placed in vagina before sex
Male condoms
- Barrier method – placed on penis before sex
Spermicide
- Used with barrier method for increased effectiveness
Referrals for tubal ligation and vasectomy
 Sexually-transmitted
infection (STI) testing and treatment
Our staff will test for and provide treatment for a
variety of sexually-transmitted infections
 HIV
testing and counseling
Our staff members will test for and provide confidential
counseling for HIV. Staff members will also make the
appropriate referrals for ongoing treatment.
 Urinary
tract infections
Our staff will test for and treat existing urinary tract
or bladder infections.
 Surgical
Abortion to 15.6 weeks LMP
